 |
Most western music enthusiasts
would list Stephanie Davis as one of the best, if not the best,
of the genre's songwriters of today. Garth Brooks thought so much
of her haunting verse and melody that he recorded six of her songs and
had Stephanie join him on tour. Her songs have also been recorded by
Martina McBride, Waylon Jennings, Roger Wittaker, Don Edwards, Trisha
Yearwood, Sam Moore and many others. Stephanie was also featured in
Hal Cannon's PBS documentary, "Why The Cowboy Sings."
A fourth-generation Montanan,

Home Companion", and at cowboy poetry gatherings and festivals
throughout the country. She has six titles on her label, Recluse

R.W. Hampton performed September 2009
|
R.W. Hampton is one of the leading
Western Entertainers in America today. Blessed with a wonderfully rich
baritone voice, R.W. has a quality of genuineness about him that
resonates when he’s on stage, in person or just through the words of his
songs. For R.W. has lived what he sings about, and the world of early
mornings, hard work, rough horses, maverick cattle and new ranges fits
him. But R.W. is more than just a gifted cowboy singer: he has a
multi-faceted career, one that has seen him perform in a dozen Western
movies, co-write and star in the one-man play, The Last Cowboy, narrate
several national radio and TV spots, serve as the subject of a number of
national print advertising campaigns, and emcee several significant
Western awards events. All this on top of being recognized eleven times
by various Western associations for his singing and songwriting skill.

Wylie and the Wild West performed 3/2009
Waddie
Mitchell performed 11/2008
From his earliest days on the remote
Nevada ranches where his father worked, Waddie was immersed in
the cowboy way of entertaining, the art of spinnin’ tales in rhyme and meter
that came to be called cowboy poetry, a Western tradition that is as rich as the
lifestyle that gave birth to it. Within his stories, told in a voice that is
timeless and familiar, are the common bonds we all share, moments both grand and
commonplace, the humorous and the tragic, the life and death struggles and
triumphs that we each recognize. And yet, Waddie presents his
material with personal insights and the lessons learned during his life spent as
a buckaroo. More Information >>

2006 AWA Male Vocalist of the Year R.W. Hampton
Saturday, Oct. 21st, 7:30pm
Hamley Slickfork Saloon
R.W. Hampton is one of the leading Western Entertainers in America today.
Blessed with a wonderfully rich baritone voice, R.W. has a quality of
genuineness about him that resonates when he’s on stage, in person or just
through the words of his songs. For R.W. has lived what he sings about, and the
world of early mornings, hard work, rough horses, maverick cattle and new ranges
fits him. After twenty years in the entertainment business, R.W. is still pure
cowboy, singing about what he loves best. Working cowboys in today’s world are
unique on their own, but being genuine in a day when even reality television

fans appreciate that. A no host bar are provided.

Hampton performed at the Hamley Slickfork Saloon last year to a sold out crowd
and he left no one disappointed. In fact, it was the response to this early
concert for the young Slickfork Saloon that generated so much interest and has
now made it a favorite place to play for several western singers and has made it
a destination venue for many other performers.

kept everyone well entertained with her humor and stories. Everyone walks away
from her concerts commenting on the clarity and beauty of her voice. Ian Tyson
